Hi there, I am just wondering if anyone has heard of this. Everytime I go to the dentist I always get very sick after the shot of anesthetic. My heart will pound all day, I get very tired, dizzy, and dehydrated. I did some looking at side effects but didnt see any of these. Has anyone else heard of this?
Thanks.

Yea, it happens to me alot. I have my dentist use carbocaine because it is without epinephrine. Epi as thay call it constricts your blood vessels so the bleeding from oral work is easier for the dentist but it will make your heart speed up. Next time ask your dentist to use a numbing agent without epinephrine. It will help i'm sure....... ;)

I agree with andrews.Have your dentist try something without epi or a lower dosage of epi. Do you have any allergies to sulfa?

Just curious, I have a horrible allergy to sulfa and have had problems (not like the ones described) with dental injections. Are you aware of a connection of dental injections to sulfa allergy? Thanks.

Thanks for the replies. I dont think I have any allergies. I can't eat fried foods because they also make my heart speed up.
