I am not overweight but I am trying to lose a little bit of weight for summer(10lbs or so). I use to eat really bad(a lot of fast food) so I have just been eating better, I've been doing this for a couple of weeks and haven't seen any difference. I don’t even feel better?!? Please give me some pointers. Thanks!

Breakfast: Oatmeal(with water and brown sugar only), or 2 poached eggs, or a piece of toast with fat free jelly, or sometimes I just have a fruit smoothie (made with real fruit & non fat, non dairy mix)

Luch: I have a salad(lots of cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots etc.) with fat free dressing and about ½ cup of cottage cheese.

Dinner: For dinner I usually eat something reasonable which includes meat, lots of broccoli, and some pasta or potatoes.

If I snack during the day I have fat free pudding or sugar free jello.

I do not exercise like I should but I do walk a lot at work and I work out about 30mins 2-3days a week.

I am really wondering why I can’t see any difference I use to eat a lot of fast food and snack a lot throughout the day eating chips and candy. I also only drink one pop a day and about 8-9oz of water a day. It’s been hard to change and even harder when I am not seeing any difference.

Well that is the sad thing about being small already and trying to loose bodyfat, its hard to do. Im at that level right now. First of all watch your calories and watch your precentages if all your calories are you carbs you are not going to loose fat. Go 20% fat 40% carbs 40% protien.

You might want to consider drinking more water. It's recommended we drink 8 8-ounce glasses of water daily, or more. This helps with muscle tone, skin tone, and it's a natural appetite suppressant. In fact, one recommendation that I find really handy is to drink a glass of water before meals.
Also, you didn't mention portion sizes. If you are eating large portions, even of healthy foods, you could still be taking in too many calories. Just a thought.
One last possibility, if you have been doing the same workout routine for a while your body may have adjusted to it. Our body is very efficient and it adapts readily to what we throw at it, so if you've been doing the same exercise for quite a while your body has probably adapted to it and thus burns fewer calories while you exercise. You can easily fix the problem by mixing things up. Try a new exercise, or change the intensity. Good luck!
