Only eating two meals a day, medium sized ones. Drinking only water, and not eating really fatty foods. Also riding 5 miles a day on a bike and working out regulary. So doing this how quickly do you suppose I could drop 15 pounds?

You won't lose the weight fast if you only eat twice a day. You need to break those meals up, and eat every 3 or 4 hours. This will help your metabolism to work more efficiently. If you only eat 2 meals a day, your metabolism will slow down. Eat some fruit in between meals. Good luck!

as others have said "break those meals up". If you don't give your body food, it thinks that you are going to starve it and it starts holding onto the food that you feed it. So, you don't love weight.
Water is good, flushes out the toxins.
Exercise is good but if you do the same one each day, ride your bike, your body gets used to it. Mix is other exercises.
No one ever got fat from eating a diet of fruits and veggies! :)
Mix in brown rice as anther fiber. And, you can eat buckets of broccoli and not get fat. If you are hungry between meals, it is a great staple.
Make sure that you are getting all of your nutrients. Take a multi or eat a bowl of Total each day.

I don't really know if there are bad fruits, but there are some that are higher in calories. I think mangoes, bananas, and avacados are higher. I eat oranges, apples, grapes and blueberries a lot. I get frozen blueberries, cuz they're a lot cheaper and last a lot longer. Others that are really good are cantaloupe, strawberries, raspberries, pears, and any kind of melon. Hope this helps! :cool:

Absolutely eat smaller 5-6 meals (esp. breakfast; it gets you metabolism moving in the morning). Eat plenty of veggies, fruit, and and try to transform any grains/starches into whole grains (brown rice, whole wheat bread, whole wheat spagetti).

like others have said, i think you definitely want to eat at least 3 times a day, and if you are going to be doing all this exercise, probably four or five. of course, these will be smaller meals than if you were eating all your food in three meals, but it will sustain your energy to exercise, and keep your metabolism constant. drink lots and lots of water so you don't get dehydrated, and the fruits and veggies and whole grains will provide plenty of fiber. if you're going low fat avoid avocado which is high fat (it is healthy fat, but you want to consume fats only in moderation) or just have a little bit occasionally. other fruits and veggies, i'd eat as much/many as you want until you are satisfied.
this is the kind of diet i've done and been very successful (i'm 160, was 255). (i also don't eat meat, fish, poultry, eggs, or dairy producs. went vegan)
depending on how much weight you need to lose, the weight will come off at different rates. if you're only 15 pounds overweight, then it might take a little more persistence. but my guess is that doing this you should be able to lose the weight within 5-6 weeks.

you don't want to have your metabolism slow down more and more and then spike when you eat a big meal. so even if you can just have an apple or something first thing in the morning, and snack like this when you're between these meals it should help.
