I am new to this website and don't know where else to turn. I am 24 years old. I have had joint pain, stifness, swelling, and painful cracking since I was a kid. I used to have charlie horses in my feet and calves constantly. In the last 5 years it has become unbearable. I take at least 800mg of Advil a day. I wake up with my fingers swollen. My wrists, fingers, ankles and elbows throb and crack constantly. My hips and shoulder joints are always loose.
When I went to the doctor in 2000 for it, he told me I was nervous about getting married and that I was just noticing it more.
I have been tested for Rheumatoid Arthritis twice and the RA factor hasn't showed up. I read somewhere that only 70% of RA patients' blood actually shows the factor.
Does anyone else have any ideas as to what may be wrong with me. Sitting here typing is hurting. I am active and healthy otherwise. I can't figure it out and I don't know what to do.
Help.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Something is definitely wrong there. I know you've been to the doctor, but maybe changing doctors would be an idea. Sometimes we have to pursue an answer more vigilantly. It could be other things besides arthritis.
I hope you find some answers. Don't let doctors brush you off. They work for you and some can be quite insensitive.
Good luck to you.
