Hi everyone,
I had all of my teeth pulled and immediate dentures placed 2 weeks ago. I haven't been able to wear my bottoms much because of painful bone shards popping up.
Can anyone give me advice on removing them? They hurt! Should I call a dentist?

hey,
same problem here but i force myself to wear my plates anyway, warm saltwater rinses seem to help draw the shards out for me , not fast enough tho, dentists told me nothing would speed it up, bones could continue to pop out for months =(

massage your gum with vitamin capsules broken open to get the stuff out or use aloe. You need to put pressure on the gums where the bone shards are coming through to move them along. Sometimes you can grab them with tweezers and yank them out. Call the dentist anyway. You have to get that lower denture in there and get used to it.

Bone spurs are normal. They can and alot of the times will work themselves out. Just give them time. You can call your dentist he may want to see them. Sometimes they may need help coming out and your dentist should do that. He may say they will come out on there own. Which they usually do and you will have this for awhile. Call your dentist.
