I recently got diagnosed with thrush. i treated it with the antifungal cream and all but before i noticed i got the thrush i had unprotercted sex with my girlfriend. I noticed the thrush when i went to the toilet afterwards. The thing is my g/f ended up getting thrush also and treated it and now we are both symptom free but the doctor said to make sure we use condoms for at least 2 weeks afterwards, but this was before he knew she had it aswel. My problem is my g/f seems to be having a reaction to the condoms we are using which are normal latex ones so i triend the latex free ones with no spermicides in it, and she dosnt seem to have the same problem, the only thing is with these condoms we have used them 2 times and 1 has broken.
there are 2 questions i really have to know. first of all is there any suggestion about what we should do about the condom breaking, i have never trusted condoms and i really need to find some that wont hurt her and wont break.... we also tried using lube but she complained it burned a little.
the next question is when our thrush has cleared up is it alright to not use the condoms or will it come back again.... she is on the pill and we have been checked for all other std`s.
i hope someone can give me some answers or advice to get good condoms or how to aviod getting thrush again

There are natural skin condoms and the plastic condoms, in addition to latex. If they are breaking, perhaps she is not lubricated well enough. If you have a large penis, try one of the larger-sized brands. If the lube you used burns, try a different one. There are worse things than thrush out there.

Isn't thrush just a yeast infection?
