i noticed this morning while i was in the shower that my foreskin is seems swolen when i pull it back. it's now as large around as the base of the head of my penis instead of being flush with the shaft. i don't know what this is and it wasn't there yesterday. i'm extremely worried about what it is because i have no idea. could anyone tell me anything? will it go away? is this semi-normal?

Got a couple of questions. This sounds like an irritation or swelling as the result of something. Has there been anything sexual that took place in the last couple of days? Did you masturbate with lotions or soaps that may have led to this? It may also be some type of infection. I'd say answer these questions and let us see if we can help figure this one out. If it doesn't return to normal soon, I'd say that at least a chat with your doc would be in order.
