Hello,
My son is also 8 and was diagnosed with Asperger's and ADHD at the beginning of this school year. At our school we have an IEP for him it is a plan that is put together by a team of people at the school and also the parents have input into it. They write up goals in it and the needs of your child. My child has speech therapy, occupational therapy, and also an Autistic teacher works with him once a week on Social stories and they do role playing therapy with this teacher to teach social goals. All these goals are written in his IEP. Maybe talk to your son's teacher about your concerns and she can help you get the help you need for your son. Best wishes to you and your son.

My son is 10 and also has aspergers syndrome, we got help through his school from a resource teacher who put us in touch with a speech therapist and also gave him an aid to work with him when needed. An IPP plan was also done up for my son to draw out his goals and the teachers realistic expectations of him. Talk to the principal of the school, they should be able to help you. Good luck.
