I had a wisdom tooth pulled on Friday. Everything went great! I had no pain or swelling at all. The oral surgeon did have to put a couple stitches in my gum though. I'm having a hard time eating because I can hardly open my mouth far enough to get the food in without feeling it pulling on the stitches. I'm afraid that I'm going to end up hurting my gum if I open it too far. Also I can feel the end of the thread in my mouth. It feels like there is a piece of hair stuck back there and it's getting really anoying! I have to go back to have the stitches taken out on Friday. I never had stitches before. Does it hurt when they take them out? I can't wait to finally get rid of them, but I just want to know what to expect.

It doesn't really hurt when they take them out. You may feel a little pinch but that's about it. Once they're out it feels so much better. Good luck to you.

Had the same problem myself. I was really scared when i went back but it was a walk in the park lol. And so much relief after it was over. Just a pinch and instant relief. YEA!! Just hang in there, you are doing great. :-) dena

I'm so glad they're finally comming out tomorrow. I'm having a hard time eating because it pulls on the stitches whenever I open my mouth more then half way and I keep getting food caught in them.

My stitches or whatever you call them came out on their own.

Piece of cake! It didn't hurt too bad and now I feel so much better! Actually, it felt sort of like a little bee sting. And, it only lasted for a couple of seconds. It feels great to be able to open my mouth again! :D The Surgeon said that everything is healing fine and I shouldn't have any problems.
