Gambino, my experience was with vicodin and lortab, so I don't really know how it compares to oxy, in terms of withdrawal duration or half life. Perhaps someone else here with oxy experience can comment. It seems to me, however, that you are close to getting through the worst of it, so don't cave in a fix. Have you told your doctor? If so, you can get a couple of meds to ease the withdrawal symptoms. If not, you just have to deal with it, but you WILL feel better each day.

Gambino,
You're at a real danger point here-you get paid tomorrow, you said, and right now at this moment in detox'ing is a real weak moment. Now,you've gone this far, you probably ARE feeling better today and will feel somewhat better tomorrow-do you want to go thru this hell all over again???Because that's exactly what you'll have to do!!Is there a possibility for you to go to any NA/AA meetings-like today or tomorrow-instead of going out tomorrow to get another 80mgs of Oxy???Real vulnerable point you're at right now,you have to ask yourself how bad you want to get and stay clean. No doubt this is a struggle, but do you want to just prolong the agony??Do you want to remain in this VICIOUS circle of drugs/withdrawal/drugs/withdrawal???Wouldn't you like to be able to get up everyday and NOT have to worry about how your going to get your "high" just so you can function, not have to plan your life anymore around these drugs???
Depression, unfortunatley is pretty normal after getting off of drugs you've abused for so long-our brains don't remember how to function again right away-so you need to expect that.I'm sorry, I don't know how long you've been taking these and how much everyday.Have you considered help from any doctors?
You've GOT to hang in there if you want to maintain your newly clean status. It WILL get easier,-just think of the nightmare you're getting off your back!!!Oxy's a tough one to detox from, don't throw away these past four days!!!It WILL get harder to detox from each time you try-and you're coming out of the worst of it physically right now-don't stop!!But I know at 4-5 days clean it can be SOOO hard to resist temptation,so you need to remove yourself somehow from the possibility of getting anymore oxy's.Go to a meeting(no, go to a BUNCH of meetings),or stay close to this board as much as you can.I'm fighting a relapse right now,and I'm trying to get MYSELF to some meetings later today, god,I do NOT want to go back to living the way I was living-do YOU??Anxiety you feel???Bad.It's the worst. It CAN get the best of you,I know, but little things like hot baths, chamomile tea(don't wrinkle your nose,to my surprise,it acually works, especially in the early days of detoxing)can help.
Please, just hang in there, you've come farther than you realize!
Strngth and Courage,Stacie

Gambino, Stacy makes a great point regarding the depression, but I can tell you that once you get to a month, you will find you were more depressed taking drugs than without. You have endured four days of hell, so take note of it, as it is a HUGE accomplishment, and do give it all back. You don't want to do this again.

Hi Gambino. Congratulations on the "Big 4!" - Days, that is! If you check the archives here, you'll find some suggestions for 'home detox' - some 'natural remedies' and some medications, like Klonopin (Dr. prescribed). There is some very good info....try a search. Keep us posted on Day 5...you're doing so well. Please keep trying..... (No matter what, DO stay on the Board here....no one will be judgmental. Everyone is in the same boat!)

NO KLONIPIN. Use Zanax to help with the withdrawal symptoms. Klonipin may just make you more jittery.
