My grandfather is currently as I type in a hospital bed because he is having problems unrinating, he has one of those bags with a tube inserted into his groin. Sometimes he can't urinate at all because he has blood clots blocking the way which then bloats him and at the same time gets these very highly intensive pains which makes him scream in this very loud howling way which gives me goose bumps, seems like something very uncomforting to feel...just curious is there preventative measures I can take to avoid going through what he is and keep all my liquids flowing smooth?

JS,
Just exercise, eat right and right plenty of water. Always get your annual checkups for prostrate, bp, etc. Elderly people tend to put off going to the doctor, and really waiting till the pain is unbearable before they budge, not all, but alot do. I hope your grandfather is doing better, as I know a cath is pretty painful.
