Well about a month ago I came down with a slight stomach infection and starved myself for 2 days, then when I started eating again I would get this bloated feeling in my stomach. Eversince then this bloated feeling is with me, I eat very little a day, like 1 meal a day and feel bloated the whole day and most of the night. I wake up and I still feel "slightly" bloated. So is by limiting my food intake causing my stomach to "shrink" and feel full all the time? What can I do to get rid of this "bloated" feeling?

This could be irritable bowel syndrome. A girl I work with has the same symptoms and she was recently diagnosed. Or it could be celiac disease where you are allergic to wheat products but you would have symptoms of diarrhea and weight loss. Hope you find your answer.

How do you know it was an infection and how did you get it? Did you have this bloating feeling at any time before or it is something new? Why don't you eat regularly now? Gastric infection can cause bloating, but so does fasting. So I think you should eat normally now if possible, since you will never know what's behind.

My infection according to the doctor was Helicobacter pylori, test were kinda inconclusive but he treated me for it anyways. I think I might have H. Pylori Gastritis, he gave me a Amoxicillian,Biaxin,Sucralfate for 10 days. I felt a "little" better, my appetite came back but I still feel a bit bloated. Funny thing is I don't feel bloated when I'm sitting down, or laying down on my back. Only when I'm standing up, I feel my stomach stickin out and feel bloated. I'm still have to take Sucralfate for about 2 more days. The only good thing about me eating less because of my bloating is I lost 20lbs already this month, went from 200 down to 180 now.

Oh by the way I'm a 25 year old male.

i have same symptoms for a few months already! still have no clue what it could be. i was thinking about gastroparesis but not sure. i also feel bloated after even small meal, and eat really small amounts recently and what is strange that i also feel ok when i sit or lay down, but when i stand up the feeling is like there's an elephant in my stomach.
has anyone else experienced this?

Exactly, when I'm standing up it feels like my stomach is very heavy, like a couple bricks in there. Don't feel much when I'm sitting down or laying down. Hey hvbe, are you Bowl Movements okay? Normal? How old are you?

it sounds like ibs. this can be triggered by infection, antibiotics or sudden diet change as in not eating for 2 days. people with ibs can get infections like the one you had too.
do you have constipation or diorhea, pain, wind, aches and pains, tiredness?
i would check out the ibs bourd and see your gp agian for advice.
