They re- did the pap and said I was ok. Did they redo yours to make sure it was not a false positive? Haylee bridgetngou 04-19-2004, 02:17 PM No they have not redone the pap. I am getting ready to go to a new gyno to see what he wants to do. I will keep everyone posted on this matter. bridgetngou  texxasgal 04-19-2004, 06:34 PM Hey there! Well I just went through the same thing around a month ago...and I was so freaked out, I went in for the biopsy and the doctor tells me what the different procedures are for the different grades and all that. Then they proceed to tell me that it will be two weeks before my results are back..and what do you know I went through all of it for nothing. Mine came back negative...NOTHING, but if I would have gone through the pap again and found out is still came back negative I would have really been stressed . My opinion is you can never be too careful with your health I would go ahead and do the biopsy and get it over with and make sure that you have nothing. Rather than it be something and you have just waited and let it prolong. That is just my opinion on it, but there is nothing to be scared about I was terrified and it was really nothing just a bad pinch. Good luck and I hope this helps you calm your nerves a little. sarah1000 04-19-2004, 06:40 PM Same thing happend to me, my biopsy (through colposcopy) came back neg too. I was worried about it the whole time, but since then i have heard more stories from friends about the same thing, that most women at some point have an abnormal pap, but often the follow-up is neg. Some cell changes in the cervix resolve themselves on their own within six months. I know it's impossible not to worry, but you are definitely not alone! |
