Just wanted to know if anyone tried Neutrogena's new Build a tan lotion. I bought 2 bottles of it yet I'm scared to use it for fear of turning orange. Any suggestions or comments would be welcomed. Thanks everyone!

For me, Neutrogena products turn me orange so I stay away from them! If it doesnt work for you, I recommend Banana Boat Deep Dark sunless tanner. Its the best drug store brand, hands down.

Blitzjjade, are you fair skinned? The reason I ask is because I'm wondering if some work better on fair skinned people while other brands work better on dark and olive type complexions. I have fair skin and also vitiligo so who knows how it will work.

I turned orange with Neutrogena. If you're going to go the self-tanning route, buy more expensive products from department store counters. It's worth it. Just remember that bottle tanning won't give you a base for the summer that'll protect you from sunburns.

I used Neutrogena Sunless tanner and it worked great for me. I used the foam in dark tint and it gave me a nice color. I am Italian, but my skin is medium skin tone.

About the orange hands........I bought a box of latex gloves and used them when applying sunless tanner

I am very fair skinned and use the Neutrogena Dark Tanning foam- it works well and does not turn me orange. I just wash my hands after applying and do not get orange palms. A trick to use with the foam is to rub some baby oil on your legs first- not much- just enough to help spread it evenly

Thanks everyone for your replies, I tried it on a small area of my stomach, a part that will never see the light of day thanks to having kids. I like it somewhat, but do you use a loofah sponge everyday? I noticed by the second day that it was kind of streaky due to using the sponge that I shower with to exfoliate. Do you just not exfoliate until your ready to put it on again?
