Amy Sponsor WillNC 04-15-2004, 08:47 PM I am 78. I quit smoking "cold turkey' after about 35 years. I started on smokeless maybe 10 years later and gave it up just this year after 15 years. Difficulty of withdrawal about the same - either requires strength and dedication. hoopsx 05-09-2004, 12:57 AM I was addicted to chewing tobacco. I still have relapses and will grab a can of skoal. I'll dip half the can and then ask what I am doing and throw it away. Believe me that it will not help you quit. P.S. I used to love cigars and gave those up fairly easy.
