I have made several post before and the advice/information is very helpful and comforting. Thanks. I just had my third LEEP done. The DR called today and said the results came back okay but I was placed on medication for 30 days because I have inflammation of the cervix. Any clue what this could be or anyone who has been diagnosed with this have any info
Thanks

Inflammation of the cervix can be caused by an infection by bacterial vaginosis, yeast, or the STDs. There is also evidence that it can be caused by chemical exposure or a foreign body such as a pessary (a device inserted into the vagina to support the uterus), cervical cap, or diaphragm. Additionally, an allergy to spermicide, other vaginal creams/douches can also result in an inflamed cervix.
Another term for inflammation of the cervix is cervicitis. Do a search on this term and you will find lots of info. Here's one NIH thread: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/001495.htm

hope this helps!
