I have been experiencing a tingling sensation with very slight pain in my left shoulder blade for a week and a half or so. it comes and goes all day and night but is very annoying, and i am starting to worry if it is serious. Im 39 and male and have started to work out on a semi regular basis but i do not think that is the problem. I feel I am quite healthy. Has anyone had this?

Hi Brian,
I'm already sure you work out your arms right? To me, it sounds like you may have pulled something. A pulled muscle can hurt really bad and sometimes shoot down the arm. It feels like it would be the heart. Or, you could of pulled a ligament. It could be anything from something simple to something serious. It sounds more like you pulled something though. A pinched nerve can do the same thing too. I would still have it checked out by a doctor if I were you.

Thank you chantel, i also thought it may be a pinched nerve. Of course i worry that it may be something more serious like bone cancer or something. I will wait a bit longer and see if it goes away. if not, its off to the doctor I go. I havent had a physical in decades anyway. Thanks again for the reply, its comforting.

I have the same problem but its in my right shoulder blade. I have had it off and on for several years. it has gotten much worse over the past year and is now in my shoulder. More tingling and burning than pain. I have no idea what it is, my Dr thought a pinched nerve.
