I know there has been lots of discussions on anxiety here but I have severe agitation, feel like I can't quit moving or crawling out of my skin. When it is really bad I also get burning in my skin.
Lately Ifind myself walking hours per day just to cope.
Anyone else had this.

Hi James,
Yup....I had pretty bad agitation. It got a lot worse when I was first put on Zoloft to deal with the anxiety created by lab. All I could do was wander the streets...I was out of my mind. It's really dreadful stuff. Once I switched over to Cipramil, it all diminished *hugely* within two days. Maybe you should consider an SSRI med while you get over the labyrinthitis (I assume that's what you have). It'll definitely help sort it out for you.
Good luck.....Scott

I was diagnosed with BPPV but going in tomorrow for more tests. Was your agitation as bad before the SSRI.
Mine is so severe I cant eat or sleep and all I do is walk and move.

James,
The agitation was moderate before the meds....it all got really nasty for me after contracting a bad cold....the lab went ballistic again....I definitely couldn't sleep well at all. The anxiety was worse. But once I trialled Zoloft I felt totally nuts for a solid week....it was worse!!....agitation city. The Cipramil was the saviour for me....all the craziness just went to a managable level. I really recommend trying one of the SSRIs James if you find the agitation won't go. One of them is bound to work for you. You need to stop the cycle created from this inner ear drama. I always think of it like a broken leg that needs a cast on it for a while to allow healing.
Cheers....Scott

Just wanted to mention and this may sound trivial but I stayed away from any kind of stimulant. Caffeine, chocolate, Excedrin. I definitely could not handle anything that would give me an extra little jolt that I didn't need.
all the best,
Kathy
