Well, not by my choice but Im about to have to stop taking hydro for good. The pharmacies are on to me and so are my docs. I have a usage of 20 7.5's per day. Ive been at this level for about 6 months. Been using steady for about 2 1/2 years. somebody please tell me how bad this is going to be. My last 3 vics were at 7:00 this morning. Im alreadt just sick to my stomach from finding out that I've been caught doc shopping. This has got to be the lowest point in my life. Thanks for anybody that cares to speak to me as right now I dont feel like i have a right to even breathe.

I feel as if I am reading this post like I wrote it. I know all to well the feelings and the desperation that you are going thru. Last year I got clean from vikes for almost 6 months, I feel so new again, then slipped and got back on them. I got caught doctor shopping and almost lost my insurance over it, the doctors all got a list of all the docs I was seeing and the vikes they were giving me. I am also trying to quit. I go monday to get on subutex, I have heard it works wonderful. Have you checked into that option? I am also terrified of the withdrawels that why I haven't quit. I know all to well how sick you get, the anxiety is horrible and the depression that follows take a while to leave, but honey you will get better in time. We got addicted over a period of time, and its going to take time to get better. I am here for you, maybe we can do this together. I am here for you anytime you need me.

You've come to the right place!! NO ONE here is looking 'down on you' for doctor shopping because it would be "the pots calling the kettles black!" :) You might even be able to do a Search here on "doctor shopping" and come up with some past posters who have been thru this. I know, tho, that that will not 'erase' the shock and upset that you feel....only time will push those feelings further away. But, please don't beat yourself up...the main people we all hurt in such drug antics are "ourselves." As for withdrawal, there have been many great postings on helpful remedies to ease the discomfort. If you do an internet web search for 'The Thomas Recipe,' you'll find some very good suggestions...a combo of vitamins and hot showers and other very useful info.

I hope that others on this Board will read your story and come up with stuff. Maybe try starting a new thread...explaining your story...but with a more "dramatic/specific" title that will catch the eyes of those who can help you (something along the lines of "Help...Am Withdrawing and in Physical Pain"...or "Doctor Shopping is Over...Desperately need Withdrawal Help." (There are so many posts on the Board right now, and you may need a 'catchy' or more specific title to reach the people who can help you.) Keep us updated. I know that everyone who reads your story will be here to help you thru this.
Alice (Twin to Lynn who wrote you, above) :)
