Most anti-biotics will kill a bacterial infection. Viral infections, such as HIV, HSV (herpes), HPV, etc., are not curable. Although there are vaccines for some viral infections, such as hepatitis.

thanks for the help No, amox WON'T cure all bacterial STDs (syphillis, for instance, is treated most commonly with a penicillin series while gonorrhea is most often treated with cefixime or doxycycline). There are amox-resistant strains of STD infection as well. Amoxicillin is most often given to patients infected with Chlamydia and who do not tolerate doxycycline.
Viral STDs include HIV, HPV (genital warts), HSV (herpes), and Hepatitis B & C; but there are also non-viral, non-bacterial STDs such as trichomonas (a protozoan infection). Amox won't touch trich, flagyl is usually used.
Makes celibacy look attractive, huh?

Amoxil might cure it, but casual use of antibiotics is a bad thing. Please see a doctor for the burning as it could be prostatitis (which Amoxil probably won't help) or some type of other UTI where amoxicillian would not be the drug of choice.

They will do both. Let me tell you that the cultrue will be unpleasent but worth it. It will tell them if you have Gon or clymi or any other thing for that matter. A Doctor will help a lot.
Good Luck

There are suppressive therapies for herpes...all that does is suppress the time in between outbreaks. Just remember that any STD left untreated can cause a whole lot of other problems including sterility. Get checked out to find out what it is and what your options are.
