I have always had hemrrhoids since having 3 babies. Lately I have been having difficulty with BM. Today I wiped and saw small amount of blood. What should I do? Is that normal for hemrrhoids? It didn't keep bleeding and there was no other discharge. Thanks for your help.

Hi Mary, I had 3 babies and the resulting hemorrhoids too ;) Hemorrhoids can definately bleed, especially when you are passing hard, or large stools. My first thought would be to get your stools soft and self-moving. I take Metamucil twice per day and will for the rest of my life. Look at your diet: are you getting enough fiber and drinking enough water? Making minor adjustments to your diet can have huge payoffs in keeping your hemorrhoids from becoming symptomatic.
Hang in there.

Thanks runninggal. Fiber has new meaning to me now!
