Hi,
I have had IBS C since around 94. I haven't had much pain with it ever Thank goodness. I have been taking Zelnorm. Had very good results with that.
Lately, for the past few months I have had more lower left side pain and back pain. I actually thought I had had another kidney stones because of the type of pain it was. I had a CT scan done to see if it were stones. I do have four small ones but the doctor said where they are they shouldnt bother me so on to other questions. I have been having sharp, intermittant pain in my lower left side and seems to not be any certian times it bothers me but when I walk or sometimes excerise. I have noticed though that it sometimes is all day at times or not at all or very little. Sometimes the pain gets so bad and nothing seems to helps relieve it. I am seriously wondering of it could be diverticuilitiis and if anyone could tell me how that feels or whatever.
I sometimes get really bad attacks at night. That is anther reason I thought it was another kidney stones but since that didn't seem to be the problem.
Thank you so much. Any suggestions will help. I want to go to dr. but found out my GP is out of town a few weeks. I guess I could go to the ER but who knows if they would do anything. Thanks, Polly

That sound like pain caused by diverticular which are usually located on the left side??? It could also be spasms in the colon.
A good homeopathic remedy for cramping as well as spasms is Magnesia Phos that you can buy at a health food store. If it help the pain it means you are probably lacking magnesium as well as calcium in your diet.
Lacking these 2 minerals in your system can cause muscle spasms and cramping in any muscle in your entire body.

I wish you well---Harry
