sorry for another post on chlamydia, but i figured if i add on to an existing post it wouldnt get responded to...

so i think i have it....i read up the symptoms, went in for a check up today, and they said i have an infection which is probably chlamyida but they wouldnt be sure for a week or two....

then the docs gave me 4 pink pills and told me to abstain from sex and alcohol for a week....i can understand the alcohol part, but i dont get the sex....is it becuz i'll infect other people or does it actually affect the effectiveness of the drug? i read in a pamphlet that u can have sex, just make sure u use a condom....anyone have a concrete answer?

i also asked if i could smoke marijuana since i wouldnt be able to drink...the doctor stuttered and gave me a very shaky no....should i believe him (i cant see how it would affect the pills) or do u think it mite have been office policy not to promote drug usage? i also smoke cigarettes (yes, i know im a substance abuser), does that affect the treatment?

thanks for your time in advance....

Hummm.... when I was treated for clamydia I wasn't told to abstain from anything but sex. But they said no sex for 2 weeks, not even with condoms. Longest 2 weeks of my life! I'm cured though. Sorry, wish I could be more help.

You use drugs and smoke tobacco products and you are worried about abstaining from sex for a week????

Well, no, there is really no reason you can't have protected sex, but lay off the drugs.

thank you for replying....much appreciated...

thats dope...so i can still have sex but i cant do drugs....so im guessing that weed has the same effect on antibiotics as alcohol does? hmmm...wonder how that works....i remember someone telling me tho that weed weakens ur immune system....smoking i dont think i can stop....i've been addicted for a decade now.....

sucks tho...today is 420 and i have to stay sober....

oh yea, also, can a person contract chlamydia thru oral sex?

ps- i totally predicted that someone would use the :nono: emoticon after reading this when i saw it as one of the options...

Hey, it sucks you got Chlamydia. What symptoms were you having?

Yes, chlamydia can be transmitted orally. This is not a common mode of transmission, but it can and does happen. I would more concerned about herpes, though, as this infection is much more likely to be spread orally.

Well i think im cured now but when i had it:
1) Felt like something was caught in the middle of my penis but i couldnt get it out.
2) Felt weird when i was pissing that started to hurt as time passed.
3) Leakage out of my penis every once in a while that got more frequent as time passed. I knew exactly who i got it from because of the smell of the discharge. The girl i slept with had a distinct odor down there that should have raised flags for me right when i caught a whiff of it, but it was the heat of the moment and i didnt have any condoms on me. The smell from her was the same exact smell of the discharge.

Hope this helps people identify if they have it.

did it feel like you had to break through a seal on the tip of your johnson when you went pee?

No it didn't. You should get that checked out.

Please inform the girl you had sex with that you have chlamydia, and it is possible you may have gotten it from her. Have her tested for chlamydia or STDs before you both have sex again. She needs to be treated because chlamydia is contagious and can be passed around either through sex or oral sex.

Next time listen to your instinct (guts) because it is always right.
