I wasn't sure where to post this, but maybe someone here can help me. For about a month, I have been having pain in my left ear. I have had ear infections before and it doesn't feel like the pain I had with those. It hurts the most when I get up in the morning. It hurts when I move my jaw around, yawn and sometimes when I am eating something that is especially "chewy". I don't have any other allergy, sinus or cold symptoms. I don't have headaches either. Could it be TMJ? Anyone have any idea what this might be? Thank you.

Hi Kanattoo
I have had similar pains but they weren't tied up with my ear problems - mine was certainly to do with misalignment of the jaw which seemed to come on relatively quickly ( started falling apart when I turned 45 :) ). I saw a dental specialist and he confirmed it was a problem with the TMJ and showed me some exercises which have sorted it. I see you’ve put the same post on the TMJ board – I’m sure someone there will be able to offer advice as well.
I agree, tmj sounds very likely. Ear pain is often one of the first signs.
