……..when you make plans

That will teach me to say I was being more positive – believing things would get better!!! Stress levels rising due to personal circumstances – had a terrible dizzy night and woke this morning to the symptoms we all know so well – cotton wool filled head and a spinning world. Made it into work and of all things the fire alarm developed a fault and would not be switched off. After 30 minutes of ringing bells I had to leave the building – my hands were shaking and I felt physically sick. They’ve repaired the fault and I’m back at my desk but I can still hear a faint ringing……………is anyone else affected by loud noises?

Hi Lizbef,

I know how you feel. Sounds don't bother me much anymore but there was a time (about 5 months) that a kitchen cupboard door closing would nearly send me through the roof. I can't imagine an alarm going off for 30 minutes...that would do my head in even if I didn't have lab. You've done well to be back at the desk! It's amazing how badly we need peace and tranquility with this thing.

All the best.....Scott

Yup,

On and off I'm very sound sensitive, it comes and goes, but I often wear ear plugs in the cinema as it's just too loud for me. Sirens can be intolerable,

best,
