hey,
i have CFS/FMS and currently have purple toes and feet! my doc says they are chilblains, any ideas of what to do about them? my hands n feet are always ice cold as well!

my circulation is fine in my feet, they are just purple, sometimes painful, but mostly ok. But if i am in the shower/bath my feet are burning in luke warm water! the same happens with my hands, which makes it a bit difficult to stand in a hot shower! i have had them for around 4 months now n "they" (really just a general deep purpleness) seem to be spreading to the edges of my feet and my heels now??

any suggestions?
s x.

Hello Sammikins,

Can I suggest you see an acupuncturist. They can help you with your circulation problem. I would keep my feet in socks while at home to keep them warm. Try rubbing them while you are sitting and watching tv, etc... Just to get the circulations going. I have cold feet a lot and I keep socks on at home and rub them or keep a blanket on them while I am reading or watching tv.

take care
CJ.

Do an internet search for "chilblains" and see if your feet meet the discription.

If you do not have the red, itch bumps then it is probably something else.

There is a fungus that can get in the feet and cause them to turn purple. Our daughter had this problem when she was a young child. Her feet had no bumps but were very purple.
