For two days now my eye has been acting funny. The eyelid itself (outside at least, can't see the inside) is red and puffy in the side towars my nose. It's itchy and sore to touch, and my eye is very dry. I put some ointment on it tonight since I've come to the conclusion it's not a simple eyelash in the eye issue. Is this just a random infection or something more like pink eye? It seems the eyelid itself is infected, my eye just has a lot of big and small red veins. I wanted to wear my contacts two days from now but I really don't want to put them in with this thing, whatever it is. Help!

Don't wear your contacts....Consult your doctor. If it is an infection they'll most likely recommend you toss your current lenses out and start fresh when ti clears up.

No, pink eye (conjunctivitis) affects the eyeball itself, and the white part would be red and you'd have tons of gross discharge, typically. You have a lid infection of some sort, or maybe an allergic reaction, since it itches. It could be a stye inside your eyelid. You won't know for certain unless you go to an eye doctor.
