Hi, I'm pretty new to this board, and I just wanted to ask 2 questions to see if anyone else can give me any advice/experiences on them.
Firstly, I just quickly read through the first couple posts and saw something about ocular migraines...i'm not sure what those are, but I've been getting these headaches/fevers lately especially when I've been working in front of the computer all day long. Is this what an ocular migraine is? (I always get the fever part..) and what can I do (other than stay away from the computer) about it?
My second question is - has anyone here had or knows anything about lens replacement surgery? I have extreme astigmatism and lens dislocation in both eyes...so much so that as of now, no prescription is helping me (ie - glasses/contacts have almost become useless...). I have been to several doctors around me and they all tell me that surgery isn't an option right now because it's not "bad enough" to risk...but for me, it's pretty "bad" in taht it's really affecting my day-to-day activities. I'm going to johns hopkins in may to see someone there who has a lot of experience with lens surgery...i'm hoping that she will offer to do it. while on one hand i do really want this surgery, i know almost nothing about it....if someone has any info, that would be a great place to start
