Hello Friends...just wondering if anyone here experiences mild sinusitis and chronic daily headaches as their primary allergy symptoms. I am going through h*ll and any advice is welcomed. Any solutions...? I am allergic to mold, dust, pet dander, barley, etc. I take zyrtec D. and receive allergy shots. This head pressure and eye pain is killing me though. Please help! Thank you to all.

Laura

the kind of headaches you are describing may indicate a low-level bacterial infection. I would go to an ENT an get an endoscopy done (it doesn't hurt).

Allergies can cause mild headaches from time to time, but intense pressure, pain between the eyes, etc. indicate something is wrong.

Sorry to hear you're having these headaches. I too get constant headaches. Mine are on the forehead and around my eyes usually. I don't know if mine are from allergies or something else, they may be related to my TMJ disorder. Something that probably isn't good is that I take a lot of ibuprofen and excedrin. If you take it all the time you can get rebound headaches.

Anyways, I wanted to give you a tip that has helped me a lot. I read this on the headache board a long time ago. I take a B vitamin everyday, it is B-100 complex. It has all of the B vitamins in it I think. You could also try B-50 or B-150. The B-100 has made a noticeable difference for me. it doesn't completely get rid of the headaches, but it helps.

Another thing that helps is drinking A LOT of water. On days when I don't drink much water I tend to get more headaches.

I know you want to know the CAUSE of your headaches (I do too!) but I'm sorry that I can;t help you there. All I can do is offer the things i have discovered that help me. I hope this helps and good luck finding relief!

Thank you MrsLee, I think I will give this a try. Yes, I too take way to many OTC drugs that do create rebound headaches. I'm actually getting checked for TMJ myself this week! Thanks so much for your advice and support. Laura

I feel your pain. My only allergy symptons were headaches behind my eyes, in my cheekbones, down into my gums - it is awful. I also was completely worn out, but didn't have the traditional wattery/itchy eyes or sneezing.

Before I knew I was allergic, dr's kept giving me antibiotics and they never helped. ( I don't think I ever had an infection in the first place) I saw an ENT and he didn't see anything wrong with my sinus structure except that at one point my sinus cavities were full of mucus.

I guess that if you are allergic to things, drainage becomes a problem and it gets backed up causing extreme pressure. I don't know what to do about it except decongestants.

I have had daily headaches for almost a year now, it all started, when I started taking "ultram" for my chronic nerve pain, (it helps with my nerve pain tho) My doctor won't prescribe me anything else for my chronic pain (narcotics that is) I have tried neurontin, topomax, etc.. and they all didn't help for me. My doctor did have me try for my headaches "Atenolol" but that didn't help for me, maybe that is something that you could ask your doctor
to try???
