My daughter and I were both home with an upset stomach Monday that we both woke up with. NO other symptoms (i.e., no belching, no vomiting, no diarrhea, etc.). We both tried everything from Rolaids to Pepto.. Monday evening we happened upon Cola Syrup at the drug store and she was fine after taking it. However, for me it just burned. I've found all week long that everything, solid or liquid, (including water) starts my stomach hurting again. The only relief has been for a few minutes after taking phenergan. (But it makes me feel drunk) Dr. office suggests a "very" bland diet, but if water causes discomfort... We thought about gallbladder, but this is mid-to-left abdomen. I can actually feel foods or liquids travel down the esophagus into my stomach and "splash" <lol> I did find buttered saltines didn't upset my stomach - how odd is that! Husband's comment: "Gee, what a way to start a diet!"
Any thoughts on where to look for solutions since I'm confounding everyone at this end?
Now it's including aches and pains in the chest, back and shoulder - <heavy sigh>
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
