First off, I really appreciate all the responses to my recent posts. Thanks! A question that I have is this. Can people still feel the effects of an ENG test a week or two after taking it? I'm just trying to look for possible explainations as to why my symptoms feel worse.

Completely individual this one seems to be. I had the effects 2 weeks after it. The dizziness was like I had a bad cold. The ENG completely knocked me for six. I had to be helped out of the hospital!! xxx

Hey Ems,
I saw that "dizziness" in your post was underlined in green and so I clicked on the link there (www.alternative-medicines.com). There was an article on vertigo and dizziness but mostly it was advertising this natural product, containing, among other things GINGER ROOT. I've seen from various posts on this and other boards that people have had relief from nausea by eating ginger root, but there was a great write-up about the benefits of ginger, and through anotherlink there, on the history of ginger. Very interesting. And here I've got a container full of fresh ginger root in my fridge because I use it a lot in cooking, especially stir-fries, curries, etc., and I never knew until recently that it's good for curing all sorts of nausea, migraines and many other things. Since i discovered, that, of course, i haven't had any nausea. Might go and chomp on some, anyway.

Hi Madeleine.
Yep I must say I use ginger tablets when my dizziness is v bad - it doesnt help the dizzies but does help the nausea. Ginger tea (put root ginger in a saucepanof water and simmer/boil for about 25 mins) is lovely I think!

Ems - about how much ginger do you put for one cuppa? I'm off to try it with my breakfast. (don't look at the time of this post - I couldn't find Israel on the list of countries to put the correct time in), I actually chewed on small piece. At first I thought Yugh, but then realized it leaves a nice taste. Bit hot, but what the hell. My son chews fresh garlic when he has a cold or cough. Now THAT's antisocial, but he said it helps.
I like the confusion round knocked for 6 - some of our British expressions are quite alien to our American friends - I'm presuming Tallman is American? forgive me if I'm wrong.
