Anyone out there who has had gall bladder problems can you tell me any odd symptoms you had as well as the normal. I have had diarrhea, nausea, tingling in hands and feet, a hard time sleeping, not much pain just dull aching in the middle of my back. I have not been eating fatty foods in case it is my gall bladder. I don't feel well most of the time. Some days better than others. They have done a ultra sound but said it was ok. I am waiting for results of a CT scan right now.At first they said it was my nerves and tried me with 3 different anxiety drug. All made me nauseated for days. I also itch sometimes on my neck. I am very frustrated.

If you think its your gall bladder, best test to have done is a hida scan with cck.You could be having a problem with the functionality of your gall bladder.A ct scan and and ultrasound are not that good at detecting a non functioning gall bladder those, are useful for detecting gall stones . :bouncing:

You can probably better understand what a hida scan & cck and what it does by ,just doing a search for hida scan & cck.A website can explain it alot better than anyone else can. :bouncing:

Jacqbu--

Have you had your thyroid tested? The reason I ask is, some of your symptoms sound like hypothyroid, your tingling in your hands and feet, trouble sleeping, and bowel problems. It might be a good idea to have that checked. (plus not feeling well most of the time).

Good luck to you,
DEDA

Jacqbu,
Sorry to hear about your troubles. I had my gb removed about 6 months ago. I had been having problems for almost 10 years before finding out what it was. My symptoms were: stomach pain, bloating, diarreah, headaches, nausea, pain under shoulderblade and across my back, belching, achiness aroudn gb area, loss of appetite, lack of energy, and a general feeling of being ill all the time. The attacks would come on from right after I ate til 30 min after I ate and last anywhere from 10 min to 24 hours. I had a hida scan that proved it did not fill up at all. Ultrasounds and xrays and every other test came back negative. A hida scan should show how well it functions. I never had any stones. The itchiness and tingling I'm not sure of, but I do know it is a hypothyroid sign. You should have that checked as well. I wish you the best of luck and hope you feel better soon. :) Hugs to you

I have had my thyroid tested. I had Graves desease some years back and had it treated so now I am hypothyroid. I take medication everyday for that. All my counts have been good concerning my thyroid. Sometimes I don't know if I'm suffering from panic attacks or what. Doctors just seem to give you the run around and no answers. They told me it was my nerves. I have tried 3 different antidepressents and all made me nauseated for days. One I had took about a year before without side affects. It makes me wonder why my body is rejecting them now if all is fine with me. I'm trapped in a nightmare.

nausea was my biggest complaint, on a daily bases an not just feeling good.. I would also have stomach pain, mostly upper but at times would change as for at times I would have some back pain kindof in the mid lower part.. I had a hida scan, which showed a nonfuctioning gallbladder.. if you think it is your gallbladder I would talk to your dr.. they first gave me an ultrasound then did the hida scan... A hida scan is when they inject some type of dye stuff an watch it travel through to your gallbladder.. they can tell if there is any blockage, or like in my case.. dye never made it to my gallbladder... is cool to watch an no pain..
