--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have been reading the boards now for a while and appreciate very much the information... I am 56 and female...In the past year I have had a few bouts of nocturnal D waking up to a mess in the bed and all over myself... this of course scared me a lot. Then I read somewhere on the boards that there may be a connection between taking Lipitor and IBS-D so I stopped the Lipitor and the nocturnal problem stopped.... What hasn't stopped are other symtoms that have been causing me concern. Chronic soft (sometimes very soft) stools... in the morning only...occasional D and lots of gas and intestinal noises throughout the day. No abdoninal pain but feeling of fullness until I go to bathroon...Stool color seems normal...no overly offensive odor...no noticable mucus... and blood (barely a speck...I do have a roid) on TP twice in past year. I am going to the doc soon for my annual check-up but fear what all this may mean and what I will have to do to check it out...also I will need to get back on a med of some sort for my cholesterol and really do not want to get up in the middle of the night with a mess in the bed again. Any help or feedback would be appreciated...Thanks
