View Full Version : Frustration!

I'm currently using sun block everyday to protect my (very) fair skin.

I've used Eucerin and MD Fortis sunblock. The problem is, it irritates the heck out of my skin, leading to acne all over the place. And then when I get nasty pimples I start worrying that they are basal cells!

My skin has been horrible after going on this stuff.

Does anyone else have the same problem? Is there something I can do?

Try and find a sunscreen that is oil free and will not clog pores. This has helped me.

Hey there,

I have really fair skin too, and lots of sunscreens give me bad reactions as well. Two kinds that i have found to work really well that you can buy at the store are OMBRELLE and NEUTROGENA. Give them a try. I also went to the dermatologist and bought some weird kind of suncreen that was great!! So it might be worth going to see a dermatologist and ask them if they sell any special kinds or if he recommends anything. Good luck!!

Hi-

that is frustrating.I have a few that i like for the face especially and i have tried many different ones.
*Neutrogena SPF 45 Dry Touch Sunblock - There are all kind of different formulas from Neutrogena - but this one is not tacky, slimy or smelly - I really like it. Plus it has an expiration date - an important overlooked feature.

*Also - Clinique has some nice sunblocks for men and women. City Block spf 30.

*Coppertone Faces Sunblock - spf 30 - another one that should cause break outs...

I use the Coppertone Oil Free "won't clog pores or cause breakouts" and is SPF 45. I wear it on my face everyday. It does not feel greasy at all. I tend to have oily skin and the oil has not increased from using this. I would give it a try.
