Hi all,
I am Kami-girl. I am 51 years old, live in British Columbia, Canada. I have had dizzy probems since 1972. My diagnosis was damaged vestibular nerve from gentomycin toxicity after appendectomy.
I used to be able to compensate as my symptoms were mainly brain fog which lasted about 6 weeks at a time. Usually brought on by stress, sinus cold, over tired etc. 3 years ago I had my first bout of true spinning vertigo and have not been able to compensate fully since. I have had 4 more episodes since. I am finding this very stressful because it has gone on for so long and I am wondering it I have developed something new. At the time of my first vertigo attack I was under alot of stress and working many hours. At work I had an air conditioner blowing on me which was at ear level, day in and day out. I was given a course of antibiotics at the time, but I feel like I have always got a low grade infection which flares up from time to time. I also have allergies and wonder if that is a contributing factor.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
