Hand Surgeons specialize in treating CTS. Many orthopaedic surgeons also treat CTS. Diagnosis often includes a nerve conduction study with an electomyogram which is performed by a neurologist or physiatrist. If you have a family doctor, I would start there. I do not know if the Health Board rules allow us to recommend doctors or medical centers. You live in area that has many very good doctors. Close to Beverley Hills there is a top rated hospital, the westside has a top rated university medical center and the Westchester area has an orthopaedic clinic with consultants and team physicians for several profesional sports teams.

For you musicians out there......been there, done that for 60 years. Sometimes pain & weakness takes over in arms and shoulder to extent can't keep hands/arms up. My fingers, hands, elbows, arms get numb about 85% of the time with severe pain across shoulders via neck. Sometimes feels as if I have a severe sunburn on upper back. This has gone on for 30 - 40 yrs with no one giving any real diagnosis until Fri when I had the electro/nerve response test done. Had a similar prehistoric test done perhaps 20 yrs ago with no findings. Dr said right hand extremely bad and left not too far behind. Not going shot route as you can see my experience in this area by checking my previous posting. Anti-inflammitory just about a waste as have had many of these thru the years. My chiropractor would not touch me without finding out exactly what is up....so I go to him tomorrow and Pain Mgt Spec Tue. Operation will be my last resort as I have places to go and people to see. :bouncing:
