View Full Version : My symptoms - possible dairy allergy?

OK here are my symptoms. The medical people have failed to diagnose anything despite doing every test under the sun.

I suffer from a lot of abdominal cramps and discomfort - usually worst first thign in the mornng when I wake up. These are eased somewhat by eating. They usually get worse when my stomach is empty.

I can't really identify a pattern. Sometimes its ok and I don't have it. Other times like today its quite bad. I've been following a gluten free celiac diet for nearly 20 years without any problem. This issue has really been a problem for the last 10 years.

I've had a lot of tests as I say I've also done colonic irrigation and take acidophilus supplements.

The only thing I have yet to try is to cut out dairy products. Does anyone thing that my symptoms could be due to dairy? I don't notice it being particularly bad after I have dairy though.

Also (although it might be unrelated) I have a lot of acne like red marks and breakouts on my chest shoulders and upper back. I don't get much acne on my face and neck any more so I wonder is it an allergy/intolerence.

My kids both have milk allergies and the worst result is stomach cramps and loose bowels. My sister also had these problems whenever she drank milk when she was pregnant and she craved milk. It does seem to upset the stomach. My son also had severe congestion from this also. I have also heard that dairy products will make congestion worse if they have colds etc. Hope this helps. Have you been tested for food allergies yet? It might be a good idea and also keep a food diary of what you eat and reaactions you may have. ;)
