Hi Robin, You probably already left for the hospital, but this message will be here when you get back. I meant to post yesterday, but then I caught my 11 year old nephew searching for porn. Kinda set off an episode at our house and I never made it back.

Anyways, you are in my thoughts. I hope you are doing well. If you haven't left yet, do your best to relax on your way in. Let your doc do the worrying. My mom and I had the best time giggling in the prep room because they had brought me that little hat to wear. I was making it look like a chef's hat and a beret and other funny things. Oh, and I was belly dancing in my hospital gown. She was just making me do little things to pass the time. I was so happy that morning. It was such a relief to be on my way to recovery. Today is the beginning of a long road for you, but it is a beginning and that is progress. When you get home and get this, use the people you have lined up to do everything they can for you. Since you will be alone for a few days, ask them to pack you some snacks and drinks before they leave so that you will have easier access.

And, walk as much as you can. It will help you become regular again and it will help if you have any trouble with gas. Take short walks around the house about once an hour if you can. Try to walk a little more each day. It makes such a difference and it helps the time to pass.

I hope you are on your way home and doing well. You probably won't sit at the computer too long in the next few weeks. Feel free to ask questions about anything you might be experiencing. I've been there and I will be happy to tell you what my doc said is normal.
