Discovered a node back in August which was around 8mm in size. GP took blood and said it was normal. Still have it, check it every day maybe 50 times. Are you supposed to press hard on it? If I gentle feel it, it feels mobile and a bit fleshy. When pressing very hard on it, it feel very hard too. Since then I have discovered several new ones too. 2 to be exactly. All are between 0.5/1cm and feel the same. They are all located on the posterior part of my neck on both sides, behind that large muscle.
Several other people felt my neck and all could only feel it when I told them the right spot. They all say that everyone has that but I don't believe that since I red normal nodes are not palpable. Is this true?

If you are thin and the nodes are near the surface they can be felt but it is not necessarily a sign that something is wrong. However, when some one is truly ill, the nodes can be swollen and not be detected except by accident during an xray MRI, CAT scan procedure and some one can be very ill.
But there is usually other symptoms happening even if the person experiencing the symptoms, does not relate it to anything important.
No one wants to get a surprise illness, but there is also no need to dwell on possibilities. It is a waste of time. However, every one should be familiar with what is normal for them in order to know if something is not normal. Once you have figured out that what you feel is normal, then if it changes, you will know it.
