I have posted here before, but for the cervie, lumbie, area. This time thoracic. I start about a year ago with burning, pain between my shoulder blades, which my doctor & I contributed to my weak lumbar. Last jan. I started having this wrap around pain that extended to my right front rib cage, it burns like fire almost to the center of stomach area, and my skin is numb & sore to touch. My Oss had told me sounds like shingles to gall bladder, etc. I've been checked out light ran down, cardiologist test of all sorts. So finally my oss had a mri of thorac, which I had requested a thoraic spine specialist & he ignored me. He tells me the mri shows lots of arthirtus, can that cause this burning under my rib? Pain doc says sounds like nerve involvement. Has anyone ever had this burning pain in rib area? We have several good thoracic spine docs at Vanderbilt in Nashville, but so far no one will refer me. I am miserable and I have even used my tens unit on the areas to help with the pain, not much help, pain meds do nothing. Seems like when my posture is bad, or certain positions of my arms up working, it brings on the symtoms. My pc is going to do a nst, jan.23, will this give them any clues to whats going on? I don't think my oss was qualified to read my mri, because he never mention the fact that my T 1-2 was herniated and had fused by itself, that was found about 12yrs.ago.
Thanks For Your Time, God Bless, Doris

Hi good afternoon I have read your message with interest. Although I do not get the buring pain in my rib area I do get it in the legs and it is terrible. No medication had helped me at all and I am at my wits end, I would love to hve a day pain free. Have you managed to find anything yet that gives you relief, if so please let me know about it. Yours sincerely Irisa
