I am very new to this site, and found this board by accident, anyways my doctor wants to do the prodisc surgery. I am scared, I have been searching on the internet wanting to know about the procedure like how long I'll be in the hospital etc... I know he did tell me I'll be out of work for about 8 weeks. My back is very bad, I injured it 8 years ago at work, and we are waiting for workers comp to approve the surgery and my doctor wants to do the surgery asap. The discogram wasn't very good, it showed I have 3 disc that are going bad 2 of them are starting to go bad and the one is herinated which we knew all along. Any information on this surgery would be helpful. I read some boards where someone had the surgery, but all information would be helpful.

hi there!! welcome http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/wave.gif . What you need to do is go on the internet and do some searches on the disc and the surgery. Also ask your doc where you can find some info on it. I dont know many people that have had the surgery, I think cubanmermaid did. You might want to check her posts and talk with her. hope you find what you are looking for and good luck !!
