I had carpal tunnel release done 2 weeks ago and I think I had a reaction to the local the dr. used on my hand. Right after he injected my hand/wrist I felt really hot, my heart was racing, I was sweating really bad and was very nauseated. I told the dr. and he said you are probably just a little nervous. They gave me a cold cloth for my forehead, but it was all I could do to lay there until he was done. It lasted until I was on my way out of the office. I have a friend who had a similar experience with epidural anesthetic. My other thought is maybe it was a panic attack. I have never experienced anything like this before and it scares me because I don't know what it could be. I am very hesitant to have my other hand done because I'm afraid it will happen again. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
