So i got the CT scan and my doctor said i should go for a biopsy. he said the scan indicated Reactive Lymph Nodes... and he keeps telling me that my chances of lymphoma are extremely low... but i'm still worried... anyone ever get a biopsy after a CT scan and it came out negative? I have no symptoms or anything...and i have the nodes on both sides of my neck, which my doctor said was a very good sign. Thanks for listening.

Your doctor is probably right then. Why would he lie? When the docs tell you you got "extremely
low" chances of a disease it means they are very confident you do NOT have it so it's almost 100% you indeed don't have it and the possibility is just theoretical. The fact you got bilateral nodes is also indeed a good sign and usually indicates reactive nodes due to previous or an ongoing infection. If I were you I woulnd't be too worried at all, the biopsy is probably done to settle your concerns.

I went for the biopsy and the surgeon looked at my CT Scan, read the report, and felt my neck for about a minute and a half (in total, all three things combined) and was like "i think you should leave it alone. They're small nodes, its nothing big. Dont worry about it."... I don't buy that garbage... so on the way home while my ad was driving I made an appointment with another surgeon. My mom thinks that i should trust the first surgeon, but i dont trust him as far as i can throw him... so i dunno about that. He seemed real shady.

Marissanoni - can you explain a bit. You went to a surgeon that is a bit shady? How do you mean.
I have a small node which I have had since last November. I went to a surgeon who called it a reactive node.
I also lost my first husband to Hodgkins so I'm pretty familiar with the symptoms. Of course, everyone is different but I know four people, two young adults with Hodgkins and two adults with Non-Hodgkins lymphoma and the symptoms all seem to be the same.
If you don't have faith in the surgeon you saw, then go do another but I will tell you, a qualified doctor can typically tell by just feeling a lump, swelling, etc if it's more than just a lump or swelling!
