I had a traumatic brain injury in 1971 and had a cerebral contusion, brainstem contusion, 3 fractures to the skull; 2 along the coronal suture and one at the base of the brain. I also had a carotid cerebral vasospasm in the left hemisphere of my brain. This problem was never addressed other than a bilateral carotid angiogram.
My question is: Did this problem go away on its own or is it the same as before and a possible threat to my health? Secondly, is an angiogram or sonagram the only way to detect this problem? I have had a CAT scan, MRI, and a Spect scan to look for lesions. Wouldn't they pick this up?
