A year ago, I was diagnosed with pseudotumor cerbri, but I had something in my brain, what appeared to look like a tumor. I had terrible headaches and my vision was blurry and I would black out it was an unbelievable headache like my heart was beating ion my head. and would not stop. I was put on diamox 5oo milligrams twice a day, lasix and alos was taking dilantin for a seizure disorder too. Then i began to have problems again. I began to sleep 15 hours a day and could barely function. i had a severe pain in the back of my neck and I was afrid things were getting worse. I went to see the neurosurgery dept and I am a week out of the hospital. I had a craniotomy and they removed a tumor from my head the size of an egg. I just found out that it was not cancerous and I thank god for every day that I am alive and realize all of the tghings I took for granted. I just wanted to let you all know that there is hope, and if you have any questions maybe I can answer or just be of some support. I did not tell you that i am only 25. :bouncing:

I am very glad to hear that they removed your tumor and it was not cancerous. I have had some mild headaches and I was experencing some tingling/pressure sensations as well all over my head. After reading your post though you describe bad headaches. Did your symptoms start out with the headaches? I have worried over my headaches and I think the stress of it is making things worse for me! I am happy for you though. It must be a blessing to you to wake up each day and be able to enjoy life!! I guess sometimes people don't realize what all we take for granted until something happens. Sad that we are that way but I guess it is true. I hope you are doing well and enjoying life!!

I have a question was your seizures related to the tumor?

no I have always had seizures, they were well controlled. Maybe 1 a year or every 6 months. since I have had the craniotomy, I had one and two really short ones. They bumped my dose of dilantin up to 3oo mg twice a day, I was taking two twice a day.

Thanks for answering :) Reason I asked { long story}.
Short version hubby had a seizure back in Feb. during a
flu with very high fever. He recently had a bad infection
with cyst in his neck and nodule found on his lung. It
came back benign no cancer ;) but he refused to tell the
doctors about the one seizure and it kinda still worries me.
the infection in his neck and lung just started when he had
the seizure. Do you know if infection or high fever 102.3
can cause a seizure? thanks, Haylee

I believe that it can. Seizure is an important symptom to report.
