All: We're leaving for our four night trip Thursday. I'm still waiting for my Celiac blood test to come back, and wondering if I have problems with that or IBS or even gastroparesis (which is a huge diabetic thing.)
Anyway, I am having a round of stressed out stomach. Last night I ate fried shrimp and that just about was the end of it.
I was in church and had a nice attack and had to go home early this morning.
I need some tips--something to do to relieve my stomach trouble and nerves. I know, dont eat fried food! But does anyone have any other ideas? It seems the more I mess with my Reglan or Charcoal, the worse I get. I do notice my Calcium supplements calm things a bit, but what else can I do?

Tasha: I'm trying a new tactic starting toniht...Xanax, very low-dose (0.25 mg.) from my family practitioner. He thinksmy burbles/flutters etc. are anxiety-caused. If you look on the Heartburn Help message boards, there is a category called "GERD-Anxiety" that I'm on a lot now. THey think Xanax is the cat's pajamas. I'll report back what I experience. Going off Nexium, too. It didn't seem to help for more than 3 of the 37 days I've been on it.
Prayers & hugs,
Maggie

Maggie: I have a low dose prescription. I asked for it last time I traveled. I wonder if I should ask for a refill because it is expired (what I have left).
I didnt have to take hardly any when I was on them, but it felt better knowing I had them.
I just might try it. Remember to say a prayer for me when I'm in CA (Thursday to Monday!).

The stress had gotten to me lost weight cry and very depressed which only cause more problems with my stomach.

I know. My hubby and I are trying to get away from it all. His Dad has cancer, and will receive news on Wednesday about more treatment for that. Hubby has had knee problems and two surgeries this past few months, so he is a basket case over all this and he isnt himself with me.
We need a peaceful vacation and some us time, but everything looks like it's a bit off track right now (including my stomach.) sigh sigh.
