I was diagnosed with ETD only a few months ago, but have been suffering the painful and obnoxious symptoms for over 3 years now. At the time I was diagnosed with ETD by an ENT doctor, she did not think we needed to go the route of putting a tube in. Instead, she prescribed me flonase, but all it did was give me headaches, and did not relieve the blockage or pain in my ear. I also tried Rhinocourt and that did not help either. At the time of the diagnosis, I had health insurance, but I no longer have it. So, I am looking for suggestions (other than tubes) from other people with ETD on how I can relieve the pain and unclog this friggen thing once and for all! Thanks in advance! :)

I too have ETD. I take a sudafed twice a day and it has really helped with the pressure. The only symptom that I have left is a pulsating sound when I turn my head or bend down to pick something up. The doctor said that what has happened is my ETube is pulling on my ear drum which has caused my ear drum to "retract" and that is why I'm hearing the sound I hear.

Good Luck to you
