This is knew one for me. Recently started getting sharp pains in the tops of both feet near my big toe like a needle poking me. The first time I thought a bee stung me. I have experienced numbness/pain/weird feeling in both my feet since my injury 9 years ago. (crushed t-9 and cracked tailbone) That always seemed to coincide with times when my tailbone hurt worse. I had my sciatic nerve checked (OK) back when I first got the numb feet.
Is this what they call pins and needles and what could be causing it?

Actually, by blocking the nerve root around the L5 level, your pain in your toes should be releived. By this, I would think that you may have a pinched nerve around S1-L5. You should have your doctor order an MRI. They can be expensive if you do not have health insurance. Also a myleogram could be an option in determining the cause of your pain.
