Can somebody please tell me what type of drug avapro is and its side effects. I asked my pharmacist if it causes a cough like lisinopril and he said no. I was on avapro for a week b4 my doctor put me back on zestoric. is verapamil a beta blocker? I am taking all 3 meds for hbp and levothroid for thyroid, and one baby asprin. should I take all these pills at the same time? The reason I am asking is because i notice I am having stomach upset lately, whereas this never happened before.PLease Help

jtu,

Zestortic is a combination lisinopril (ACE inhibitor..."COUGH" and HCTZ (diuretic)

Verapamil is a calcium channel blocker....no cough.

Avapro is a an ARB (angiotensin recetor blocker) and might cause SLIGHT cough (but a lot less than the lisinopril.)

So many pills are hard on the stomach and try taking them all AFTER a meal...unless the bottles specifically say "take on an empty stomach"...not likely.

 Thank you Zip, I was taking half a tablet of avapro so I think I will now take the whole pill. I notice avapro helps me sleep better because i take it at night or early evening.
