I am having nerve pains in my hands and legs that sometimes prevent me or disturb me from having a good night's sleep. I have been taking sleeping pills for one month and they seem to help. Last night, I ran out and wasn't sleeping good again. I know it is not the right nor natural thing to do by going with sleeping pills to establish good sleep. But, what can I do?

The Melatonin I used only has 5mg of actual Melatonin in it. It doesn't help much with sleep.

Am I putting myself in danger with continued and prolonged sleeping pill usage?

Yes, these are tolerance/withdrawal-producing drugs. Look up the free Ashton Manual for more insight on benzodiazepines.
